COTF: One !dea

(a) The sub-immersive classroom - Virtual Tour

video

(b) The use of the huge 4-screen projection (in a room with mirrors lined up on wall) creates an immersive experience where one feels as if surrounded by 'surreality'!

Well, one may say that the same virtual could be done through the students' computer monitor... Nevertheless, sometimes, size makes a difference, in creating that impact. Of course, with the screen enlarged and everyone surrounded by it, it's easy for students to come forward to pin point on things to share out with the class, to zoom in for further discussions.

Some ideas generated from the 'virtual tour':
1. History: Visiting specific locations
2. Geography: Study the landscapes, volcanos (imagine - standing at the mouth of the volcano!)
3. Writing: Descriptive essays
